(There is going to be a bit of a change of plans, Yesterday, I said the first week there would be only one question of the day. I've changed my mind, the question of the day will still be daily the first week, and the question of the day and VGWxtra will be available forever. Thanks!)
Today's post will be about the history of Google. I guess I should start off by telling who the founders of Google were. Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They were two college students at Stanford University in California. Google started out as a research project, Page and Brin called it Backrub. Not long after it was renamed Google, a misspelling of the word googol, or the number one followed by one hundred zeros. Back then, Google was hosted on google.stanford.edu. Later, it got it's own domain name. Eventually, Page and Brin founded Google Inc in a friend's garage. For more information about how Google was founded, click here.
